The Ust-Ilimsk thermal power station is one of the largest stations that belong to Irkutskenergo JSC. The station provides head demand together with OAO PO “UI LPK” (Ust-Ilimsk Forest Industry Complex, Production Association, Open Joint Stock Company), heat demands of heating, ventilation, hot water supply of the city of Ust-Ilimsk and enterprises of the industrial site of the Ust-Ilimsk LPK. The Ust-Ilimsk thermal power station also provides water supply and waste water disposal of Ust-Ilimsk. The design-and-engineering group of SibEnergoGroup CJSC performed the engineering of the technical re-equipment of the boiler unit of the Ust-Ilimsk thermal power station. The project implementation result was that the boiler was switched to black coal of the Zheronsky field. The prepared project included the replacement of burner units on boiler unit БКЗ-420-140ПТ-2, rerouting of the existing dust pipelines, reconstruction of the boiler for reliable work without the slagging of the heating surfaces in the whole range of steam load from 210 to 420 t/h. The project implementation term is 2010-2013.

The full complex of the station reconstruction included:

Design stage:

• Project of reconstruction of the main building;
• Technical re-equipment of БКЗ-420-140 ПТ-2 boiler units;
• Project of “Technical Re-Equipment of the Storage Tank”.

Commissioning:

• Steam-water-oxygen clearing, conservation and passivation of heating surfaces of boiler units in the main building;
• Inspection and tests of the circular system of water supply.
